Sixpence for her shoe in keepsake tin

We have created a new product over the last few weeks.   This is a small tin approximately 4cm in diameter.   The tin has a poem on the lid,

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and a sixpence for her shoe.

Inside the tin there is an original sixpence on a bed of blue tissue paper.   On the inside of the lid there is a fold out section that tells you all the traditions relating to the poem.

Something Old Represents Continuity

Something New represents Optimism for the future

Something Borrowed represents borrowed happiness

Something Blue represents purity

And a sixpence for her shoe is representing wealth

It is usual for the bride to slip the sixpence into her left shoe during the wedding ceremony.

These are now available to purchase via our website www.sohalkirk.co.uk, via our Etsy Shop, or on Ebay
